Personal Profile

Dr. Niu joined Shenzhen Bay Laboratory as an associate researcher in January 2023. He graduated with a Ph.D. from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2017 and subsequently spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the same university. In 2020, he continued his postdoctoral research training at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for two additional years. Throughout his academic journey from Ph.D. to postdoctoral stages, he has dedicated up to 12 years to the development of PET instrumentation. He has published more than 10 papers in SCI journals and has presided over projects funded by both the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) at the top-level and Youth Science Foundation. He has also served as a reviewer for the well-known international journal, Physics in Medicine and Biology.
