Personal Profile

Dr. CHEN is committed to developing next-generation high performance TOF-DOI PET imaging techniques. His research interests are: (1) new types of optoelectronics such as Perovskite photodetectors, (2) multi-channel high speed front-end ASICs, (3) FPGA development including front-end intelligentized techniques based on embedded CNN, (4) CNN algorithms applied in PET performance optimization. He has received professional nuclear science and technology education since university. During his doctoral training at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of High Energy Physics, he took a significant part in developing the readout electronics of the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO). He also has project management experience from state-owned enterprises and successful commercial product development experience in fast-growing startups.

Bachelor of Engineering: University of South China, School of Nuclear Science and Technology, major in nuclear science and technology.

Doctor of Engineering: University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of High Energy Physics, major in nuclear techniques and applications.

Participated in the National Key R&D Program of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation.
